I’m so excited to meet everyone in this LME 535 course! My name is Brittany Perry and I’m currently in the Masters of Arts in Teaching Program (Initial Certification). My concentration area for my graduate degree is Middle Grades science. I graduated with a degree in chemistry and decided to pursue a career as a middle school science teacher after substitute teaching in a local school system. I look forward to my future teaching career!
On a more personal note, I have been married for two years to my lovely husband, Justin. We do not have any children yet but have a 14 year old cat, Millie, that’s just like a child. I have only one sibling, Chase, who is an undergraduate philosophy student at WKU. My husband and I have the most precious niece and nephew that we love to spend time with and babysit. In my free time, I love to travel, cook, exercise, and spend time with our families and friends.
I’m anxious to learn more about technology through this course. The course will be beneficial for my future teaching career because technology plays such an important role in today’s classrooms. Being able to integrate technology into middle school science lessons will open many opportunities for my students and myself.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone and a great semester in LME 535.
